Magnesium Sulfate commonly causes an orangish tinge to single fingernails. Keep away from household cleaning supplies and cod liver oil for a couple weeks and it'll gradually disappear.

How do you get finger nail polish last more then one day?
Reapply a clear polish over every other day and make sure you get the tips of your nails (the very top and behind you nail that is showing) as that is were the nail polish starts to wear off.How do you get finger nail polish last more then one day?

i get th enail polish to last mor then one day by first applying a coat of clear nail polish let it dry apply a coat of the color i like let that dry and then apply another of the clear
put on a clear coat over the top... there is also a product to put on before you paint your nails which helps it last longer. don't buff your nails before you put on polish because that makes it come off faster. OPI is a good brand to use!
Get one of those square files that has both the shiner and thin grit together(at any drugstore). First take the thin grit side and file your nail good, then use the polish side until your nail is shiny. Then wash your hands. Do one layer of nail polish, then a second and finally use a good clear coat and make sure you let them dry completely. Works every time.
First apply 1 coat of nail hardener allow to dry, then apply 1 coat of polish allow to dry apply another coat of polish allow to dry again then apply a top coat allow to dry and apply another coat of topcoat. that should last for awhile. you can also apply top coat every other day to keep polish lasting for a long time.makeup uk

How could I stop ripping/tearing off my finger nails?
When I go online and I read essays or long things like that I always have to keep tearing off my nail from my left index finger. I can't stop and my nail is very short and I just keep doing it. Also to help me stop I usually eat hot cheetoes to substitute for the nail ripping but then I always do it. And in school I do it alot. So what is a way that I can stop this? Help! I bite off the skin around my finger nails!?
I know its gross and horrible, and I want to stop but I can't - I bite off the skin around my fingernails. What I do is clasp the skin in my teeth and just rip. I notice myself doing it when I'm nervous or when something stresses me out. I've just done it because something stressed me out and now I'm really regretting it because I have hurt my finger (made it sore). I'm a 16 year old girl and I want nice fingers, not horrible ones.

Hello i do the same thing, i always bite the sides of my fingers %26amp; sometimes i dont even realise im doing it %26amp; i think it looks horrible cos it is good to hav attractive fingers %26amp; nails so lately i have tried to stop biting them %26amp; it will re-heal itself %26amp; they are getting better, you can use nails expert nutri boost from avon or you local boots %26amp; it helps your nails get strong %26amp; also will stop you bitin the side on you fingers cos the nail polish will taste bad. I have also started taking perfectil triple active tablets from boots that help with skin, hair %26amp; nails.
But u could have ocd and a worse case then mine but i hope this helps if not you should go the docters %26amp; see if it ocd %26amp; they can help you with the stress aswell.

All the girls i know don't like long nails. I guess because its dirty and unhygenic and they look 'un-masculine' (if thats a word), but also because they scratch when being touched/intimate.
Short neat nails are best. It shows you take pride in your appearance and your not lazy/dirty. Keep them cut nice and short for all of us ladies out there please!! =)

Your half moon is called your lunula and it's definatley an old wifes tale.
Your nail is made up of many things your matrix being one of them and thats found under the skin just behind the cuticle this is where your nail cells are produced and they are a white opaque colour, here they get flattened and are then pushed out to form the nail plate as they are pushed out they go translucent.
Sometimes though they don't flatten properly and so they stay the opaque white colour and so when pushed out onto the nail you get your half moon (lunula) it doesnt mean anything if you've got them or you havent it's just un-flattened nail cells

One of my rats won't leave my finger nails alone!?
I feel really bad for one of my rats. She doesn't get to crawl on me very much because she won't leave my finger nails alone for 2 minutes! I have short natural nails and she has lots to chew on in her cage. She runs on her wheel constantly and when she does come to the cage door, it's either for a treat or to bite my nails. I would like to know if there is a way I can break her out of this habit as the other one doesn't do it at all.One of my rats won't leave my finger nails alone!?
