Ingown finger nails.......?

Has anyone ever had an ingrown finger nail removed resulting from the doctor removing the whole nail? And when the nail grew back...did it look the same? ThanksIngown finger nails.......?
I had ingrown toenail surgery. It was minor surgery and with toenails they remove the portion that is ingrown, use a chemical of some kind to prevent your nail from growing back in the area that had grown into the skin. I still have a toenail, it's just slightly narrower than before. I don't think the doctor will remove your entire finger nail.Ingown finger nails.......?
I have had 2 ingrown toenail surgerys, on the same toe. Never a finger nail though. (It would be very similar though) After the first surgery it grew back (Dr. says theres a 10 percent chance of this happening). So I got it fixed for good this time. They won't rip the whole nail off, but just the side that is digging in. They will prevent that side from growing back by appling some sort of chemical that kills the nail at the bed. The nail will just grow back more narrow than before. Overall the most painful part were the initial shots, It did not hurt once afterwards, just use plenty of Neosporin.
