I've bought the nail tips from eBay before, here's some photos of me wearing them, as a preview of sorts. They've not been trimmed or shortened except at the base to make them fit better, hopefully they look the right length for you

You could go to a professional nail salon to get them done with acrylics. At a nail salon you can get them as long as you please.
