Is there a way to repair a tear in your finger nail?

I really dont want to have to cut the whole nail this short wear the big tear is so is there anything that helps repair the nail so it'll mend?Is there a way to repair a tear in your finger nail?
Fingernails don't heal because they're dead tissue, like hair. You have to wait for it to grow out. If I were in your situation I might visit a nail salon and see if they can put a wrap on the nail so it doesn't snag. They might not do it but it's worth a shot.Is there a way to repair a tear in your finger nail?
yes, there is...go to your manicurist, and tell them you need a repair...show them where it is needed, and they should be able to take care of you...if you do a ';drop-in'; you might have to wait for a few minutes, until one of the nail technicians has a few minutes between appointments
IDK, I have had a split on one finger nail for probably 10 years. I have never been able to grow it out and start a perfect one. If it's just split and not missing, you might try some super glue? I just keep mine really short or it catches in things. Being a guy, that's easy.
There are some silk wraps you can buy in the drugstore and apply with nail glue. Apply it thinly and evenly, and then soak it in nail polish remover when the nail grows out and you want to remove it.
