Small white spots on my finger nails...?

Why do I have a few small white spots on my fingernails?? There is about 3-5 on each one, and they have only been there for about 6 months or so...


Their fairly small, but not too small... maybe about 3mm each?

that happens if you bend or push on your nail too hard, they stay for a while but do go away eventually.
Sometimes, if you're a guy that happens alot when you play sports because any time your fingernails get 'bent' it leaves something like a mark it stays pretty long too.
zinc and iron and calcium definciency. get more minerals. on the other hand, if they're really linear you could have a fungal infection. either way stay away fromt too much yeast and potatoes and get your minerals!
