Is it normal for nail polish to discolor finger nails?

I'm totally in love with my home French manicure kit, and kept the last French manicure nail polish on for about 2 weeks. I took it off today, and noticed that some of my nails were discolored a yellow-ish color. Is this normal, or should I be making an appointment with my doctor? Is it safe to put more polish on?Is it normal for nail polish to discolor finger nails?
If you keep the polish on for a while it's normal. The yellowing is caused by some dyes in it. You can soak them in lemon juice for about 5 minutes but be careful if you have cuts. When you paint your nails again put on a base coat of clear polish to protect your nails from the dye.Is it normal for nail polish to discolor finger nails?

yeah it happens to me often :P jsut get some sally hansen nail strengthner polih remover and paint again!
Yes it is normal and common even more so with darker colors but light colors can do the same. Try soaking your nails in lemon juice it helps take the yellow stain off!!!
dont make an appointment wiv your doctor. you dont need to.


you need to wear the special undercoat before yu put nail polish on to prevent staining....yes its safe to put more on...and make sure the manicure kit isn't cheap..but good quality..

it just means that uve put too much nail polish on. people who havent like everr put it have like pink nails -- very natural.





and now what ur gonna hav to do is put on nail polish all the time so people wont see the disgusting yellow color.
