Why do we have finger nails and why do we have ulcer?

finger nails, are an age old part of our bodies that helped back when we were hunters and gatherers.. we dug in the dirt to get roots etc and clawed our way around life, ripped and tore meat etc...

ulcers? we dont all have them.. maybe you do if you are stressed, but thats not a common thing...Why do we have finger nails and why do we have ulcer?
so we can pick things upWhy do we have finger nails and why do we have ulcer?
ever try squeezing zits without finger nails? that would surely give you ulcers
Not all people get ulcers. Ulcers can be caused by stress, medication, bacteria. My husband has had 2 bouts with bleeding ulcers. The first one from picking up the bacteria while in Mexico for his old job, and the 2nd time because his idiot doctor, after knowing that he almost died from his 1st ulcer, told him that he could take Ibuprofen, which is well known to cause problems in people with ulcers.
We have nails basically to protect the tips of the toes and fingers and fingernails help us pick up small objects and scratch ourselves. As for ulcers here are some of the following causes: bacterial infection, viral infection, fungal infection, primary and secondary cancer, venous stasis, arterial insufficiency, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, amyloidosis, loss of mobility, hypertension, and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). Hope this helps!!!
finger nail not only protect the nail bed which lies directly beneath, it has lots of nerve endings, and would be pain-full if we do not have a keratinised nail on top, it is made of dead hardened skin cells, made of mostly proteins. they make it easier to pick up small items.

as for ulcer what type do you mean?

we are not born with ulcer, it develops through stress, incorrect diet, or in your mouth from biting it, or can be a sign of mouth cancer.
