Your fingernails and hair are a reflection of your health. If your nails are breaking and weak try and eat a more balanced diet including breads, fruits and vegetables and cutting down on sugar and salts and fats.

Not only will your fingernails be stronger so will your overall health.Unhealthy Finger nails?
This is a great website to tell you all you need to know in caring for your nails. I hope it helps you:

Healthy nails aren't a result of what you put ON them... they're a result of what you put IN your stomach.

Eat a diet composed of 50% fruit and raw vegetables in order to supply necessary vitamins, minerals and enzymes.

* Eat foods rich in sulfur and silicon, such as broccoli, fish and onions. Include foods rich in biotin such as soy, brewer鈥檚 yeast and whole grains.

* Drink plenty of water and other liquids.

* You may supplement your diet with royal jelly, spirulina or kelp, which are rich in silica, zinc and B vitamins and help to strengthen your nails.

* Drink fresh carrot juice daily, this is high in calcium and phosphorus and is excellent for strengthening nails.

* Eat well and your whole body will be better, healthier, more beautiful!

*Don't use your nails as tools

*Don't cut your cuticles... moisturize them after bathing and simply push them back with a cuticle pusher.

By the way, if you don't think you can get your nails healthy-looking in time for your wedding, don't feel guilty for getting false nails. The false nails will damage your existing nail but once you've removed the falsies and have grown out the part of the nails that were under the falsies, all the damage is gone completely and you can start fresh again. Congrats on your engagement and good luck! :)
